United Online Notary connects signers with commissioned notaries who perform remote online notarizations (RON) under the laws of the state where the notary is commissioned. We are a booking and coordination service; each notarization is performed by the individual commissioned notary, who is solely responsible for the notarial act, identity proofing, and record retention required by their state.
Not every document can be notarized online. Requirements vary by state and document type, and the receiving party decides whether to accept a remotely notarized document. If your document cannot be completed online, we will tell you before your session and refund your session fee.
Session fees are paid in advance through Stripe: $25 for a single-document session and $45 for a multi-document session (up to 5 documents). If we cannot match you with a notary for your requested window, or your session cannot be completed because of a problem on our side, you may reschedule once at no charge or receive a full refund. Fees are not refundable after a notarization has been completed.
You agree to appear on live video with a valid government-issued photo ID, to sign during the session as directed by the notary, and to provide accurate booking information. The notary may refuse or end a session if identity cannot be verified or if the notarial act would violate their state's law.
